FAQs

Where are you located?

Our address is 372 Hwy D #2 Kaiser, MO 65047. We are 3 miles down highway D behind Hyvee on the right side in the big red and black building.

Do you have a changing room?

Yes! You will have privacy for outfit changes in the Studio Changing Room.

Where do I park?

We ask that you park as directly in front of the studio as you can. Parking is first come, first serve and there are other businesses in the building so please be mindful of your surroundings.

Can we bring pets?

We do not allow any pets into the studio except for service animals. You must notify us at least 24 hours in advance if your client needs to bring their service animal. Any unauthorized pets seen on camera will result in a $250 minimum fee charged to your card on file.

How large is each studio?

Our space is 1800 square feet, upstairs and downstairs. Currently, we are only utilizing Studio 1 (downstairs) which is 900 square feet and accommodates the studio space, changing room, props, setup, etc.

I think I left some personal items behind! Do you have a lost and found?

Yes, we have a lost and found on the office that we add items to if anything is found at the end of the day. Please contact us by email or Instagram DM as soon as possible if you think you may have left something behind and we can check for you. We cannot guarantee that any item will be turned in though as there may be many people in your rental after you - so please make sure you double check that you haven’t forgotten anything before leaving! We throw away or donate all unclaimed items after one week.

Do you provide lighting?

We are a natural light studio. We do not provide any additional lighting, but you are welcome to bring your own lighting setup if desired. We are working on a “Light Tracker” highlight on Instagram.

Do you provide furniture/decor/props to use?

As The Studio House grows, each space will become fully curated will multiple furniture and decor options and the Studio Prop Shelf. You’ll be able to read more about this in our Gallery page as this moves along. You are welcome to rearrange and setup up the rooms how you like for your session. We just ask that you put everything back how you found it and to please take good care of our items! If you’d like to move heavy items such as a couch, bed, or mirror - ALWAYS use two people to lift rather than drag it across the floor to avoid damage!

What is the best time to photograph in the studio?

We are working on a “Light Tracker” highlight on Instagram that shows the natural lighting in each of the studio spaces at different times of the day to help you make your decision on timing that will be best for your work!

You can view that here: @thestudiohouseloz

What if I go over on my time slot?

We book rentals back to back, and there often is not a buffer in between photographers. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you do not go over on your allotted time. If you would like to add on more time during the session, you can check with us to see if it’s an option to extend or not. If you go past your time slot, we will charge a $100 fee. If you show up early before your time slot starts, we will charge a $100 fee. We do have cameras at the entrance and can see when you check in and out - please be respectful of your rented times! If you book a 1 hour spot at 9AM, you must be cleaned up and walking out the door by 10AM at the latest. We are not responsible if you or your client is late.

Do you allow workshops, mini’s or styled shoots?

We do! Please inquire through our Contact page for special rental rates for these types of rentals.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes, Studio 1! There is a wheelchair ramp in the front of the building at unit #5. We are unit #2, so it is best to park in front of #5 for this purpose. When booking your shoot, once we have our other spaces available, make sure your are renting Studio 1 since it is downstairs.

Can we bring glitter, confetti, birthday cakes, and other messy props of our own?

We ask that you do not bring food or drink (other than water) into the studio. The use of confetti, glitter, open flames, or anything else that is potentially messy or dangerous is not allowed. The studio should look exactly as you found it when you leave! If you have any questions about bringing a specific item, please email us at thestudiohouseloz@gmail.com.
